David Jones (Managing Director & Senior EC&I Engineer)

David Jones is a Director and Senior Control Engineer with over three decades of experience delivering innovative control and instrumentation solutions across industries including nuclear, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and automated warehousing. Holding a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, he has led high-value projects such as Malting plant control systems, Nuclear waste handling systems, and advanced BMS designs, ensuring compliance with BS / CE standards along GAMP, GMP, and 21CFR Part 11. Proficient in most PLC and SCADA systems, networking, and instrumentation, David combines technical expertise with a proven ability to manage complex projects, delivering efficient and reliable engineering.

James Lyne (Senior EC&I Engineer)

James joined Silchester straight from university. With Silchester he has over two decades of experience delivering numerous EC&I projects from a wide range of industries. These industries vary from Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Nuclear to Malting & Cosmetics. During his time as Silchester he has working with a wide range of PLCs, SCADA & HMIs from small systems to multi-process, networked systems. He is normally one of the project leaders on our larger projects.

Joseph Lenert (Quality Manager & Senior EC&I Engineer)

Joseph Lenert joined Silchester straight from university. With Silchester he has over two decades of experience delivering numerous EC&I projects from a wide range of industries. These industries vary from Pharmaceutical, Nuclear to Malting. During his time as Silchester he has worked with a wide range of PLCs, SCADAs & HMIs from small systems to multi-process, networked systems. In addition to his engineering role, he is our Quality Manager and was instrumental in gaining our ISO9001:2015 accreditation. His experience in the pharmaceutical & life science sector makes him an invaluable member of our team.

Clive Mitchell (Senior EC&I Engineer)

Clive joined Silchester and worked while gaining his degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. With Silchester he has over two decades of experience delivering numerous EC&I projects from a wide range of industries. These industries vary from Pharmaceutical, Nuclear to Malting & Cosmetics. During his time as Silchester he has working with a wide range of PLCs, SCADA & HMIs from small systems to multiple PLC, networked systems. He is normally one of the project leaders on our larger projects.

Christopher Scholes (Senior EC&I Engineer)

Chris joined Silchester with extensive experience in the cargo handling sector.

At Silchester, he has delivered numerous EC&I projects across various industries, including Manufacturing, Energy and Utilities, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, Pharmaceutical, and Nuclear. He has worked with a wide range of PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs, from small systems to complex, multi-process networked systems.

Eugene Blignaut (Senior Control Engineer)

Eugene has rejoined Silchester after several years with a prominent multinational pharmaceutical equipment OEM company. He brings a wealth of software expertise in Siemens, Rockwell, and Schneider. His IT skills are invaluable in the contemporary landscape, encompassing cyber security, VLANs, virtualisation, and bespoke .NET applications across a variety of modern server platforms.

Geoff Bailey (Senior Electrical Engineer)

Geoff is our first full time electrical engineer, focusing on utilising Solidworks Electrical & AutoCAD drawing packages along with other suites of software. He comes with many years of experience in various industries and his practical skills have quickly made him a core member of the team.

Michael Galpin (EC&I Engineer)

Mike comes with extensive experience in many sectors. During his time at Silchester, he has worked on many projects from Malting plants, Nuclear gloveboxes to tabletting machines. His project work has included electrical design, PLC & SCADA development and numerous hours on site, commissioning his designs.

Jake Hearn (EC&I Engineer)

Jake comes with a wealth of experience and in his brief time at Silchester has worked on highly secure build PC systems, following very secure build guidelines, incorporating Malware protection, LGPO & GPO policies along with Whitelisting, all off grid to ensure clean systems. As part of his work at Silchester, detailed design documentation has been produced in highly regulated industries. His practical skills along with his project management makes him a valuable member of the team.

Adam Kazmierczak (Control Engineer)

Adam brought his expertise in Robotics and PLC control to Silchester a few years ago, and since then, he has contributed to projects in a wide array of industries, including Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, and Manufacturing. He's worked on extruder machines in Malaysia, Japan, and Finland, and has optimized palletising machines throughout the UK. With hands-on experience programming Siemens, Schneider, and Allen-Bradley systems, Adam is quickly becoming a pro in electrical design.

Dominic Brown (Control Engineer)

Dominic, who previously contributed to Silchester many years ago, has rejoined our team. He brings a wealth of expertise in GMP compliance within the pharmaceutical sector.

Since his return, Dominic has been instrumental in upgrading legacy Schneider and Rockwell control systems. His dedication to personal development has now earned him Rockwell certified engineer status, significantly strengthening Silchester's capabilities and fortifying Silchester Bronze System Integrator status with Rockwell.

Jackie Fry (Administrator)

Jackie has work for many years at Silchester as an administrator. She was involved in migrating our accounts from Sage to Xero as part of the Government’s demand to make tax digital. She is involved in all the day-to-day bookkeeping and all the other unseen activities.
